Year 6 at St Vincent’s investigating properties of materials. They are doing proper chemistry with household chemicals like milk, vinegar, soap and lemon juice. We discovered that only acids curdle milk, how to do a neutralisation, why bicarbonate of soda makes cakes rise and why it works as a stomach medicine.
